After I had my first child, my acne increased a tenfold. I then decided to do more research to discover things that would clear my face. I worked on a special project when I was in college and discovered what each vitamin had to offer and how it affected the body. I learned that Vitamin A and E were good for the skin, so I had begun to take one vitamin A and vitamin E pill a day for six weeks and noticed my face began to get clearer.
Biotin is also a good supplement pill to take for your skin. I still had a few problems areas, so I reached out to a friend of mine who told me that I needed to find a product that exfoliated my skin and to make sure I use an anti-aging-moisturizer after that. The most important thing to remember when using cleansers and moisturizers is to know your skin type. If you have oily skin, do not use an oil-based product and if you have dry skin, do not used something that dries it out even more. I personally feel that MaryKay and ABMI have great products although there are hundreds of products to choose from.
According to Dr. Oz
Okay, so I love Dr. Oz and I faithfully watch the show. I have never seen a show that specifically focuses on health improvement from all aspects life including the mental, sexual, and emotional stability. Unfortunately, some days I do not get the chance to see some of the episodes. I came up with the idea to share what I have seen just in case you guys missed it as well. One of his episodes discussed cravings. If you struggle with cravings, you're not alone. The solution? Stay full by consuming wholesome foods and supplements that suppress your appetite...Watermelon, bananas, and basically any fruit does the trick
According to Dr. Oz, eating one egg and beets daily could increase your life's longevity. Do not skip on the yolk, it contains needed protein for your body
Growing Hair
Although there are numerous different hair and skin types around the world, olive oil and coconut oil are both natural ingredients that experts recommend using when it comes to all hair types as well as skin types. Honestly, what has worked for me when I decided to grow my hair was getting it trimmed on a regular basis and keeping it conditioned. I've used several hair conditioners, but you have to find the one that suits you. Pantene Pro-V was my choice of hair products. In addition to using good hair care products, do not over process you hair. For example, I would not recommend getting a perm or relaxer and then permanently dying your hair. Believe it or not, this stresses your hair which causes breakage. Also, keep your hair free from extra oils so your pores can breathe and use as less heat as possible. Vitamin E and Biotin are also my personal favorites. These supplements can be found at just about any store and are suppose to stimulate growth. I took as directed and of course, but consult with your doctor before starting anything new
Improving Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are like bad in-laws, you just can't get rid of them no matter how hard you try. Here is some news you're not going to like. There is no way to completely remove stretch marks unless you have surgery, but you can improve the appearance of them. The uses of "miracle creams" will only leave you frustrated and wanting your money back. I personally use shea butter and black soap. Microdermabrasion soaps and scrubs are good because you are practically removing the top layer of your skin each time you scrub, but be aware of side effects if you have sensitive skin. I have read many articles that state that Vicks Vapor Rub has an active ingredient that helps improve stretch marks as well, however, I'm honestly not sure about the safety of its usage soley for this purpose.
If I could borrow your attention and lend some advice, I would tell you that stretch marks are a part of human nature. When you lose or gain weight, the skin stretches. Obviously ladies, when you have children, the skin stretches. There are some fortunate women out here who haven't had a stretch mark at all, even with three, four, or five children. Lucky them, but trust me, the vast majority of women and even men get them. The greater portion of what you see in magazines and on television is unrealistic unless there is surgery involved. Personally, I'm neutral to surgery because who am I to knock someone who has surgery if it helps improve their self-esteem. My only message is to love every part of you because if you don't, it is hard for someone else to.
I enjoy using skin creams, lotions, soaks, and other products that make my skin look, feel, and smell great. I personally like to use the same set of products for that particular day or night out. For instance, I would not want to mix a peach lotion with a pear fragrance. Nor would I want mix to peaches of different brands because all brands don't smell the same even if the same niche fruit is being used. Since 1986, Camille Beckman's creams, lotions, and products are based on a blend of wholesome mixed hand-crafted ingredients that silken the skin. These products are not mass marketed or found in large departments stores. The classic products are timeless and charming and are for women of all ages or any who prefers soft skin.
Good Advice
Sometimes it is hard to find quality time to spend with family. With both parents working and the children going to school, it may seem almost impossible to plan family events. Schedule a day or weekend off if you can afford it and take the family to dinner and/or a movie. And hey, who said board games are ancient? I always suggest that families take at least one day out of every week to sit down and talk about what has been going on, special products they're working on, or anything that may be a bother or concern to them. It keeps the bond in the family stronger on top of knowing what is going on in their lives. Studies show that parents who are actively involved in their kids social life, rather it is school or home related, increases the chances of the child's success in school work and/or other projects/tasks. Take time to enjoy life with your family. Save this upcoming year and go somewhere you've never been before. Become active. Take time to celebrate life.
What Do You Really Know About Water
We all know the benefits of drinking plenty of water, right? It's okay if you didn't know because I was also unaware of the functions that water provides for our bodies besides just being a thirst quencher. While two-thirds of your body is water, an entire 90% of your brain consist of water. Many of us are unaware of the fact that water detoxifies the body while making your skin look and feel healthier. Believe it or not, water is the key to your diet plan. That's right, water helps you to loose weight because it suppresses your appetite and there is obviously no fat, nor calories in water..so Drink Up..
The Diet Plan that Works
After having my first child, I went from a size 6 to a size 16. I had gotten so big during my pregnancy, I quit going to my last few doctor visits. In actuality, a size 16 isn't huge, but I felt as if I was. I knew I had to lose the weight. Here is how I honestly
lost 65lbs in 7 months
1. I woke up every morning to a breakfast shake instead sausage, bacon, etc. which once were my favorites
2. I did at least 10-15 minutes of fast-pace walking before lunch. I was in college, therefore the distance between the classes did the trick. Then, I drank lots of water between classes as well
3. For lunch I would eat a sensible portioned meal. One meat, bread, and a vegetable with water to drink
4. I would do another 10-15 of fast-paced walking or exercise
5. For dinner, I would have another sensible one meat, bread, and vegetable dinner. I may slurge occasionally and drink a soda
6. After letting the dinner digest, I would do planks, abs exercises, and dance to a video/dvd
(at least three times a week)
7. At the end of the night I would eat pineapples or pears in its own juice (this of course is optional)
Remember, if you are including at least one vigorous exercise in your fitness routine (which of course is a plus) make sure you have comfortable and proper workout attire and shoes. This will play a major role how your body reacts to your workout routine, especially if your a walker or jogger
